MyPG Terms of Service
Effective from April 1, 2026
Please read these terms carefully before using the MyPG platform operated by NearbyMe Technologies.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the MyPG platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service. These terms apply to all users including guests, PG owners, and visitors.
2. User Accounts
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use our Service. One person may not maintain more than one account.
3. Booking & Payments
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by the PG owner. Prices displayed include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payment must be made through the approved payment methods on the platform. Security deposits are held as per the PG's policy and refunded after check-out subject to room inspection.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Free cancellation is available within 24 hours of booking confirmation. After 24 hours, cancellation charges apply as per the PG's policy (typically 1 day's rent). Security deposits are refunded within 15 working days of check-out. Refunds are processed to the original payment method.
5. User Conduct
Users must comply with all PG house rules, maintain cleanliness, and respect other residents. Illegal activities, harassment, damage to property, unauthorized subletting, and violation of house rules may result in immediate termination of stay without refund.
6. PG Owner Responsibilities
PG owners must provide accurate property information, maintain facilities as described, ensure safety and hygiene standards, and comply with all local regulations. MyPG reserves the right to remove listings that don't meet quality standards.
7. Privacy & Data
We collect and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Your data is encrypted and stored securely. We do not sell personal information to third parties. KYC documents are used solely for identity verification as required by law.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the MyPG platform including logos, text, images, and software is owned by NearbyMe Technologies. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
9. Limitation of Liability
MyPG acts as a marketplace connecting guests with PG owners. We are not responsible for the condition of properties, disputes between guests and owners, or losses arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid through our platform.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through our internal grievance mechanism. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
11. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
